World Taekwondo New Zealand

World Taekwondo New Zealand Incorporated, originally known as ‘Taekwondo New Zealand’, was founded in 2005. In January 2020 we changed our name to World Taekwondo New Zealand (WTNZ).

WTNZ’s primary mission is to provide effective national governance of Taekwondo as a martial art, amateur sport, Olympic sport, and Paralympic sport in Aotearoa New Zealand, and to maintain good relationships with the sport’s key national and international stakeholders in the best interests of all our members.

We are here to support every Taekwondo practitioner and club in New Zealand who reaches out for help. We are committed to making all our tournaments, courses and events open to everyone, regardless of one’s affiliation. If you would like to host a grading. tournament or seminar please don’t hesitate to get in touch. We have a wide range of internationally and locally experienced Grandmasters, Senior Masters, Master Instructors, Master Examiners, Coaches, Referees and Judges who would be happy to assist.

To learn more about our mission and objectives, these are outlined in our constitution which we encourage you to read.

We would love to hear from you and your club, and new members are welcome. Please email us if you are needing advice or support, or simply have a question you want answered.
